Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-16 · Working draft: a plain-English summary, not legal advice. A professional review is planned.
SeeMyBooth helps you plan a trade-show booth and right-size your order before you commit. This page explains what we collect, why, where it lives, and how to get it deleted. We keep it short. If anything is unclear, email hello@seemybooth.com.
The short version
- We use essential cookies only. No tracking pixels, no advertising networks.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.
- We keep the booths you build, and any artwork you upload, so you can come back to them.
- We collect a little coarse usage data to see which features help and to spot errors.
- You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time.
Who we are
SeeMyBooth is a product of Device Solutions Ltd, based in New Zealand. We are the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at hello@seemybooth.com.
We aim to meet the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and its Information Privacy Principles. Many of our users are in New Zealand and Australia, so we have written this with an Australian and NZ reader in mind.
What we collect
Account details
When you sign in, we store your name and email address, plus an identifier from our sign-in provider. That is all the profile data we hold. We do not ask for a password because we do not manage one (see "How you sign in" below).
Your booths and uploads
The heart of the product is the booths you build. We store each booth's layout, dimensions, furniture, colours, lighting and settings so you can reopen and edit it. If you upload artwork for a booth wall or a screen, we store that image file too, so it renders in your booth. Your booths and uploads are yours; see "Your content stays yours" in the Terms.
Usage and error signals
We keep a small amount of coarse usage data to understand which features help and where people get stuck. That means simple counts of actions such as creating a booth, opening the 3D view, downloading a Booth Pack, or sending feedback. If something breaks in your browser, a tiny error signal is recorded: the page you were on and a short message, capped at 200 characters. We do not capture stack traces, and none of this is sent to any third party.
Feedback you send
If you use the feedback button, we store your message, the page you sent it from, and (if you are signed in, or choose to add it) an email so we can reply.
What we do not collect
We do not run advertising or analytics trackers, so there is no cross-site profile of you. We do not collect location beyond a coarse country hint that our network provider adds, which we use only to pick a sensible default currency on the pricing page. We do not touch your card details (see "Payments").
Cookies
We use essential cookies only. There is one signed session cookie that keeps you logged in and remembers any booths you started before signing in. It is set as HttpOnly and SameSite, and is served over HTTPS in production. We do not set advertising or analytics cookies, so there is no cookie consent banner to click through. Your light or dark theme choice is kept in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie, and never leaves your device.
How you sign in
Sign-in is handled by WorkOS using your Google or Microsoft account, or a passwordless email link. We never see or store your Google or Microsoft password. WorkOS passes us back only your name, email and an account identifier.
Payments
Paid plans are billed through Stripe. When you subscribe, you enter your card details directly with Stripe. Your full card number never reaches our servers. We receive from Stripe only what we need to run your subscription, such as a customer reference, the plan, and the status of your payments.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising. We do rely on a small set of trusted providers to run the service. Each one processes data only to provide its part of it:
- WorkOS handles sign-in and account management.
- Stripe handles payments and subscription billing.
- Render hosts the app, our database, and your uploads.
- Cloudflare provides DNS, content delivery and HTTPS in front of the site.
- Microsoft 365 runs our support email, if you contact us.
We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the service.
Where your data lives
Our app, database and uploads are hosted with Render in the United States. Some of our other providers also operate in the US and elsewhere. If you are in New Zealand or Australia, that means your data is transferred to and stored overseas. We choose reputable providers who commit to protecting the data they hold for us.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and your booths for as long as your account is open, so your work is there when you return. Coarse usage and error signals are kept only as long as they are useful for improving the product. When you delete your account, we remove your account data and your booths, and any uploads tied to them, within a reasonable period.
Your choices and rights
Under the NZ Privacy Act 2020 (and comparable Australian rules), you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and to have it corrected if it is wrong. You can also ask us to delete your account and its data.
To do any of these, email hello@seemybooth.com from the address on your account. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not happy with how we have handled a privacy issue, you can raise it with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner in New Zealand, or your local privacy regulator.
Children
SeeMyBooth is a tool for businesses planning trade-show booths. It is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
We are in beta, so this policy will grow as the product does. When we make a meaningful change, we will update the date at the top of this page. Please check back from time to time.
